Saltwater Evaporation

On 15/05/2012, I took my observations on my subsitute experiment. If you haven't read my previous blog, my last experiment was destroyed due to hard winds. so I made a subsitute experiment, waited 3 days and today I bring you that blog! In this experiment, I observed that all the salt had disappeared, meaning dissolved in the water. Though what I can't explain are that there were bubbles at the bottom of the container.                      So to conclude, I have discovered that it takes only one night to dissolve salt in water.

Unfortunately, due to the hard winds, my experiment couldn't make it to day 3. :( But no need to worry, when this happened I got up and made the experiment again! I have to wait 3 more days though, but since I started making the Substitute expeiment(just call it that) at the 13/5/12, I will be posting Day 3's results tomorrow! R.I.P Hans's Expeiment

Day 2 of my Saltwater Evaporation experiment and I have some more photos to share...  These pictures were taken at the same time of 3:45pm on the 12/05/2012.                                                                                         Whilist observing the saltwater, I didn't seem to see any small specks of salt. Hello, my name is Hans and this week I am investigating a technique of seperation. They call it cystillisation. Anyways back to the main idea, I have just started my experiment, which I believe will show me the effects of crystillisation. I set my experiment with putting some warm water into a container. Next I put in a reasonable amount of salt in and waited for results. Of course I took some pictures to show you the process. -Pictures taken at 3:45pm 11/05/2012- Day 1: At 3:45pm 11/05/2012 I began putting warm water in my container then I put the salt in, but after a while I stirred the slat around to see results. Afterwards, the water got a bit cloudy which meant that the salt had settled in the water. To make sure that the salt was dissovled, I put my finger in the saltwater and tasted it. It was salty, so my prediction was correct.                        ...
